Ingredients
Mozzarella cheesesliced 1/2 inch thick
Fresh tomatoessliced 1/2 inch thick
Fresh basilchopped
salt and pepperto taste
olive oil
Balsamic reductionoptional
Instructions
Alternate slices of cheese and tomatoes on a small tray.
Sprinkle with basil, salt, and pepper.
Drizzle with olive oil.
Notes
To make a balsamic reduction, add the desired amount of balsamic vinegar to a small pan. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the balsamic has reduced by half. Drizzle over the salad, if desired.
