CHIMICHURRI SAUCE

The perfect marinade or accompaniment to grilled meats. Made with cilantro, parsley, jalapenos, garlic, and oregano, it's a sauce you will use time and time again.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1/4 cup parsley chopped
  • 1 red jalapeno diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh oregano chopped
  • 1 shallot minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt kosher or sea salt
  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar

Instructions

  • Place the shallot, jalapeno, garlic, salt, and vinegar into a medium bowl. Allow to sit for 15 minutes.
  • Stir in the cilantro, parsley, and oregano.
  • Whisk in the oil until emulsified.

Notes

If you prefer more heat, add an additional jalapeno or red pepper flakes.
