RED LOBSTER CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS

These Cheddar Bay Biscuits are garlicky, cheesy, buttery, light and flaky. They do not use bread mix and can be ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • pinch cayenne pepper optional
  • 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese grated

TOPPING MIX

  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  • Melt 1/2 cup butter. Add 1 cup buttermilk and stir.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until almost combined. DO NOT OVERMIX.
  • Carefully, fold in the cheese.
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Drop 1/4 cup of biscuit batter onto the parchment paper leaving about 2 inches between each biscuit.
  • Bake in a preheated 450-degree oven for 12-15 until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and brush with the prepared topping.

TOPPING MIX

  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, parsley, and garlic powder.
