CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- pinch cayenne pepper optional
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese grated
TOPPING MIX
- 4 tablespoons butter melted
- 2 tablespoons dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using).
Melt 1/2 cup butter. Add 1 cup buttermilk and stir.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until almost combined. DO NOT OVERMIX.
Carefully, fold in the cheese.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Drop 1/4 cup of biscuit batter onto the parchment paper leaving about 2 inches between each biscuit.
Bake in a preheated 450-degree oven for 12-15 until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and brush with the prepared topping.
