- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon rosemary, finely chopped
- pinch of salt
- 2 cups walnuts or pecans, or a combination of both
In a medium saucepan, add all the ingredients EXCEPT for the nuts. Over a low heat, simmer until the butter is melted and the sugar has dissolved.
Remove from the heat and add the nuts. Stir to coat all the nuts well.
Place aluminum foil over a large baking sheet. Lightly spray with non-stick spray. Spread the nuts evenly in a single layer.
Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 15-17 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to prevent sticking.
Remove the nuts from the oven and spoon onto a sheet of parchment paper. Use forks to break apart the nuts. Allow to cool.
