Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary, finely chopped
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 cups walnuts or pecans, or a combination of both

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, add all the ingredients EXCEPT for the nuts. Over a low heat, simmer until the butter is melted and the sugar has dissolved.
  • Remove from the heat and add the nuts. Stir to coat all the nuts well.
  • Place aluminum foil over a large baking sheet. Lightly spray with non-stick spray. Spread the nuts evenly in a single layer.
  • Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 15-17 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to prevent sticking.
  • Remove the nuts from the oven and spoon onto a sheet of parchment paper. Use forks to break apart the nuts. Allow to cool.
