- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs beaten
- 1 1/2 cups self rising flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups pecans chopped
- whipped cream optional
In a large mixing bowl, add the sugars, oil, vanilla, and eggs. Stir well to combine.
Add the flour and salt. Mix well but do not overwork.
Fold in the pecans until they are evenly dispersed throughout the batter.
Pour into a lightly buttered 9x13 baking dish.
Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
