WEDDING #2 (OF THIS YEAR) IS IN THE BOOKS!

September 14, 2017 by Debbie Leave a Comment

It’s been a while since I’ve posted….again. To say that our lives have been hectic lately is an under statement! Our oldest son married the love of his life a couple of weeks ago. We traveled from Atlanta Georgia to Malibu California for the wedding. It was four days of pure joy and excitement. What a beautiful, memorable wedding!
I wish I had more pictures to share with you, but honestly, I wasn’t thinking of pictures lol. Ten of us boarded the plane in Atlanta for our flight to LA. Once we landed, we checked into the hotel and crashed for the evening!

Friday was rehearsal day. After the rehearsal, we were invited to the home of the bride’s parents for lunch, drinks, and swimming. This was the first time we had met them and they were precious!
The rehearsal dinner was outside on the lake at a restaurant called Boccacio’s. It was wonderful. The menu was filet mignon, sea bass, chicken, and an assortment of vegetables. Of course, there was an open bar of wine, beer, and mixed drinks.
The day of the wedding, we arrived early for wedding pictures. It was HOT! Apparently, they were experiencing a heat wave! The thermometer in our van was showing 113 degrees!! Even though the humidity was lower than we have in Georgia, it was still hot!
The wedding was beautiful! The bride and groom were gorgeous! And everyone felt honored to be a part of this covenant ceremony.
After the wedding, drinks and hor d’oeuvres were served outside on the grounds. It was an assortment of delicious meats, cheeses, breads and accouterments.
The reception was held indoors. The table settings were beautiful! The meal was fabulous. The choices were steak or chicken and both were delectable! There was an open bar and dancing for everyone. Even George, the boxer, got in on the act!
The following day, there was a champagne brunch for those staying at the hotel.
It was truly a memorable, beautiful wedding. Best wishes and many prayers for the newlyweds!
